You can choose a location that is meaningful to you or I can recommend a location based on the style you are looking for. Sydney has so many beautiful options, from the harbour and city streets to beaches, gardens and more intimate outdoor locations.
Some popular options include the Royal Botanic Garden, Circular Quay, The Rocks, beaches including Tamarama Beach, Milk Beach, Cronulla Sand Dunes and beautiful Sydney parks like Wendy’s Secret Garden, Centennial Park, The Dairy – Western Sydney Parklands.
How many final edited images should I receive?
Depends on the package that you choose but usually is between 10 and 30 high resolution edited images of your choice.
What should we wear for our engagement photos?
Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable, confident and like yourselves. I recommend coordinating your colours and style rather than wearing matching outfits.
If you’re unsure about what to wear, I’m happy to help you choose outfits that work beautifully with your location and the overall style of your photos.
We’re not comfortable in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Absolutely! You don’t need to know how to pose or have any modelling experience.
I’ll guide you throughout the session with natural prompts and simple direction, so you don’t have to worry about what to do with your hands or how to stand. My goal is for you to relax, enjoy being together and let the photographs happen naturally.
How long does an engagement photoshoot take?
Most engagement sessions take around 1–2 hours, depending on your chosen location, number of outfits and the type of session you would like. This gives us enough time to relax, explore and capture a beautiful variety of photographs.
When is the best time to have our engagement photos taken?
There isn’t one perfect time for every couple, but late afternoon and golden hour are especially beautiful for outdoor engagement photography because of the softer, warmer light.
The best timing also depends on your chosen location and the atmosphere you want for your photographs.
Can we have more than one location?
Yes! Depending on your package, we can plan one or more nearby locations to create different looks and backgrounds.
Can we change outfits during the session?
Yes. An outfit change can be a lovely way to create two different looks — for example, one more elegant and one more relaxed. I recommend discussing this when planning your session so we can make the most of our time and light.
What happens if it rains?
Sydney weather can be unpredictable, so we’ll keep an eye on the forecast before your session. If the weather isn’t suitable for photography, we’ll discuss the best option, which may include rescheduling your session.
How will we receive our photos?
Your professionally edited images will be delivered to your email through a link that will let you access your private online gallery, making it easy for you to view, select, download and share your images.
